Casina Cinese and Villa Niscemi tour
The tour will let you discover two villas outside the city ancient walls, the so called Casina Cinese, commissioned by the King Ferdinand IV and his wife Maria Carolina, arrived in Palermo during the exile from Naples.
You’ll visit the entire villa, on the ground floor there’s the dining room with the socalled “mathematical table”, designed by Marvuglia himself, on the second floor are the most beautiful rooms, the private apartment of the Queen Maria Carolina.
Walking you’ll get inside Villa Niscemi, ancient residence of the Princesses Margherita and M. Immacolata Valguarnera, now property of the Municipality together with the large surrounding park. You’ll visit the noble plan where there are the Weapons Room, the Ball Room and the private rooms of Prince Corrado and his wife M.Carolina, the last residents in the house.
The walking tour starts at 10am in the square in front of the villas and ends at 12.30pm.
