Then we’ll walk around Capo market and visit first the small Church of St. Gregorio Magno near Porta Carini, one of the gate in the ancient walls that were surrounding
the city, today covered with the vendors stalls, then the Church of the Immaculate Conception, a baroque treasure hidden in the heart of the market.
Then we’ll walk in front of Serenario Palace, the house of the noble Raymond Motta’s duke, according to Luigi Natoli description in I Beati Paoli , to admire the ancient Panificio Morello with its famous mosaic lady (today there’s a copy).
At the end you’ll taste the typical Streetfood like bread with panelle (rectangles of chickpeas flour), the cazzilli (potatoes croquettes),the sfinciun i (sort of thick pizza with tomatoes, onions and oregan), all dishes of the poor gastronomy in Palermo, served with a Gazzosa, a typical Sicilian soft drink.
